#58 Freedom Park :: VV_Puram food



Freedom Park is located in the Central Business District of the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It was formerly the Central Jail. It was opened to the public in November 2008. A part of it has been allotted for protests.

V V Puram Food Street is a food street in Visveswarapuram, Basavanagudi, Bangalore. Located near Sajjan Rao Circle, the street has over 20 food stalls in less than 150 meters serving varieties of street food, sweets, South Indian, North Indian and Chinese dishes.

व्ही.व्ही. पूरम फूड स्ट्रीट, विश्वेश्वरपुरम, बसवणगुडी, बंगलोर मधील एक खाद्यपदार्थ आहे. सज्जनराव सर्कल जवळील या रस्त्यावर जवळपास १ meters० मीटरपेक्षा कमी खाद्यपदार्थाचे स्टॉल्स आहेत जे स्ट्रीट फूड, मिठाई, दक्षिण भारतीय, उत्तर भारतीय आणि चिनी पदार्थ बनवतात.

 The food street hosts the "Avarekai Mela" annually in the winter months of December/January, when varieties of dishes are prepared using avarekai (hyacinth beans)–both hithkabele (peeled beans) and avarebele (unpeeled beans).

फूड स्ट्रीटमध्ये दरवर्षी डिसेंबर / जानेवारीच्या हिवाळ्यामध्ये "आवारेकाई मेळावा" आयोजित केला जातो, जेव्हा आवरकेई (हायसिंथ बीन्स) -बोध हिथकबेले (सोललेली सोयाबीन) आणि आवारेबेले (बिनशेप बीन) वापरुन विविध प्रकारचे पदार्थ बनवले जातात. 


The festival which started as an effort to sell the produce of avarekai farmers became popular over the years with more than 1000 kg of avarekai being purchased directly from the farmers on each day of the festival.

आवरकेई शेतकर्‍यांचे शेतमाल विकण्याच्या प्रयत्नातून सुरू झालेला हा उत्सव गेल्या काही वर्षात लोकप्रिय झाला आणि उत्सवाच्या प्रत्येक दिवशी १००० किलोपेक्षा जास्त अवारेकाई थेट शेतकर्‍यांकडून खरेदी केली गेली.

'Chandra Choodeswarar' means the Eshwara who wears the Moon (Chandra) as an ornament on his crest or tuft of hair on top of the head, Shiva's consort Parvathi is worshiped here as Maragathambal. ‘Maragatham’ means green and ‘Ambal’ means mother.
