Lalbagh is an old botanical garden in Bengaluru, India. First planned and laid out during the rule of Hyder Ali and later adorned with unique plant species by his son Tipu Sultan, it was later managed under numerous British Superintendents before Indian Independence.
लालबाग भारत के बेंगलुरु में एक पुराना वनस्पति उद्यान है। पहले हैदर अली के शासन के दौरान इसकी योजना बनाई और रखी गई और बाद में उनके बेटे टीपू सुल्तान द्वारा अनूठे पौधों की प्रजातियों के साथ सजी, इसे बाद में भारतीय स्वतंत्रता से पहले कई ब्रिटिश अधीक्षकों के तहत प्रबंधित किया गया था।

Lalbagh is a 240 acres garden and is located in south Bengaluru. It holds two flower shows and has over 1,000 species of plants with many trees that are more than a hundred years old.

In modern times it hosts two flower shows coinciding with the week of Republic Day (26 January) and Independence Day (15 August).

Lalbagh botanical gardens is managed by the Department of Horticulture and is no longer maintained as a botanical garden and is not a member of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International.
