#91 Charminar- Hyderabad

 


Charminar's long history includes the existence of a mosque on its top floor for more than 400 years. While both historically and religiously significant, it is also known for its popular and busy local markets surrounding the structure, and has become one of the most frequented tourist attractions in Hyderabad. Charminar is also a site of numerous festival celebrations, such as Eid-ul-adha and Eid al-Fitr.
चारमीनार के लंबे इतिहास में 400 से अधिक वर्षों के लिए इसकी शीर्ष मंजिल पर एक मस्जिद का अस्तित्व शामिल है। जबकि ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक रूप से दोनों महत्वपूर्ण हैं, यह संरचना के आसपास के लोकप्रिय और व्यस्त स्थानीय बाजारों के लिए भी जाना जाता है, और हैदराबाद में सबसे अधिक बार आने वाले पर्यटक आकर्षणों में से एक बन गया है। चारमीनार भी ईद-उल-अधा और ईद अल-फितर जैसे कई त्योहार समारोह का एक स्थल है।




The fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, built the Charminar in 1591 after shifting his capital from Golkonda to the newly formed city of Hyderabad.
कुतुब शाही वंश के पांचवें शासक, मुहम्मद कुली कुतुब शाह ने 1591 में गोलकुंडा से अपनी राजधानी हैदराबाद के नवगठित शहर में स्थानांतरित करने के बाद चारमीनार का निर्माण किया।

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the current caretaker of the structure, mentions in its records, "There are various theories regarding the purpose for which Charminar was constructed.
भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (एएसआई), संरचना के वर्तमान कार्यवाहक, ने अपने अभिलेखों में उल्लेख किया है, “जिस उद्देश्य के लिए चारमीनार का निर्माण किया गया था, उसके बारे में विभिन्न सिद्धांत हैं।

#103 Chandra Choodeswarar Temple Hosur

'Chandra Choodeswarar' means the Eshwara who wears the Moon (Chandra) as an ornament on his crest or tuft of hair on top of the head, Shiva's consort Parvathi is worshiped here as Maragathambal. ‘Maragatham’ means green and ‘Ambal’ means mother. This is in reference to the green plants and trees (Photosynthesis), which provide sustenance to all living beings.
